When we started work on the film, it became very obvious to me, that, if we were creating the first ever Thomas Kinkade film, then we have an obligation to create the world that so many have been collecting over the years. The film needed to have a visual quality that is reminiscent of my paintings. It was very important to me that, although this is a totally different medium than paint and canvas, Michael include the little secrets that I have long hidden within my paintings – symbols, dates, messages to my wife and my daughters, and hidden love notes that are a record of valued family moments. The hidden details are a way to pay tribute to my experiences and that which is important to me.
Watch carefully and you’ll see that the film also contains these hidden love notes. Can you find any of them?

We loved your movie THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE so much that we gave it as gifts this Christmas. Problem is we cannot find information on artist Glen Wessler who inspired you. Where can we find information on him and his works? Please reply to mjperkins1@verizon.net. thank you. Maryann J. Perkins
Hi Mr. Kinkade,
My family is currently watching "The Christmas Cottage" and we are finding it very enjoyable.
I am hoping you can solve a family mystery for me. Years ago a group of people drove up to my parent's home off South Shingle Road in Shingle Springs and claimed that the house my parents own there is your original home.
Did you or any family members ever live in Shingle Springs?
Thanks,
-Cindy
I like art. I don't choose art because of the artist's name, but what the picture does to my heart. There are 2 artists in the world that make me feel warm and fuzzy; Monet for whatever reason and Thomas Kinkade because I grew up out on the East end of Long Island before my block had street lights and the road was still sand. You had moon light and window light that's all. Warm and fuzzy. Funny how you don't attribute youth to "great" artists and to think I am older than my "art hero." I purchase calendar books from the children's fundraiser just to carry a Kinkade and if it happens to have anything resembling the sea/water scape or a lighthouse, I am blessed twice. Thank you for The Christmas Cottage. I rented it from my library this weekend and as soon as I can, it will become part of my library right alongside, It's a Wonderful Life.
Being a long time fan of yours, Mr. Kincade, I also am interested in seeing the works of Glen Wessler, especially the last painting. Can you help point me to anything with his art.
Thank you
Marti
