In an earlier posting, I shared with you my passion for local museums - I especially love going to art museums in midisize cities. You never know what treasures lie within - a special collection, a piece from a favorite artist that you otherwise would not see, amazing local talent. The Indianapolis Museum of Art was no exception! I found a little known Hopper, as well as Church - even a Normal Rockwell. Pieces I had only seen in a book right before my eyes. Loved it!

I can relate exactly...I just recently went to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Ma. I was blown away!! It was surreal to be standing in front of Monet's, Van Gogh's...My husband had to force me out of the room. I could of stayed there all day long!! So inspiring. Even got to see a Jackson Pollock!! Everyone should visit a local museum...they have no idea!
I like to go to the Albright Knox art gallery in Buffalo, New york, so much interesting pieces and many different things to do. I am a member of the Burchfield Penney art Museum (just joined) and looking forward to the many shows and openings coming up.
