Many people have asked me what my vantage point was when I painted my newest image, Viva Las Vegas. One of our Las Vegas gallery owners, Mike Koligman, helped me come up with a great explanation with this recent comment:“This is a very interesting composition. My wife and I racked our brains trying to figure out the vantage point. I then realized it was looking west down Tropicana Blvd. The great thing is that the New York-New York Casino (just behind MGM), Luxor, and most importantly the mountains are captured perfectly. The sunset and the sky are beautiful. Thom has done it - I've never seen this vantage point in any picture or poster and it's wonderful!”

BTW, this picture of you painting, some how reminds me of Norman Rockwell. It must be the pipe.
