Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage on Lifetime!

The Lifetime Channel will be showing Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage on Saturday, December 19th at 9:00 p.m. and shown again at 11:00 p.m. Check your local listings for channel and details.

I'm enthused to see a larger distribution of this film, because I think people will enjoy it and find meaning from it. It's a dream for Lifetime to show it for so many people who might have never had the opportunity.

Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage stars Peter O'Toole, Marcia Gay Harden and Jared Padalecki in a nostalgic, funny and heartwarming story that I believe will eventually be a Christmas classic for families to watch during the holidays for many years to come.
In the film, Padalecki plays me as a 20-year-old who is searching for his voice as an artist. I don't want to ruin the plot, but in the end it's all about re-discovering the true spirit of the holidays.

Critics have said that Jared Padalecki had a "break out" performance in this movie, and that Peter O'Toole delivered an Oscar-worthy performance in Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage.

The film is directed by Michael Campus and we produced it with Michael and his wife, Arla Dietz Campus and Julie Yorn. It was a pleasure to work with all of them.

Enjoy Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage, a film inspired by real events in my early days as an artist.

I enjoy your paintings and also love the work of both Jared Padalecki and Peter O'Toole, so when this was first released, I bought myself a copy. And I fell in love with it. It's beautifully made and beautifully told and very heart warming.

I've since introduced quite a few friends and family to it and several have also bought copies for themselves. :)

Merry Christmas

Mr Kinkade:

This is not in regards to The Christmas cottage. My wife and I were invited on its release date and now own the dvd. I am writing in regards to you newest homecoming painting. Do you have other paintings coming that will represent the United States Navy somthing with sailors in it. Thank you for your time.

Mr. Kinkade,
You are an inspiration to me and your paintings are absolutely beautiful. My mother is fighting four types of Cancer and last night we watched "Christmas Cottage twice and also recorded. I wrote an article about you and I truly hope that you can take time to read it. I thank you again for being an inspiration to me.

May God continue to Bless you and give you the gift of painting the light.

I have been a fan for years and have some of your art pieces. My favorite is the "Light of Peace" and your many beautiful Christmas scenes. This movie was beautifully made and it was fun to get a glimpse of your past which was quite unique in itself.

Thomas. You are an inspiration to me. Cant afford your paintings but I did frame my favorite puzzle, Sweetheart Cottage. I can lay for hours looking at it in the glow of candlelight. It comes alive for me as if I were actually there. Brings me to a tranquil place. Just saw the Christmas Cottage today. I shed tears of joy at the kindness your family showed towards others and then the kindness that came back your way. Truly touching. Thanks for sharing it. Shelley

I just watched the Christmas Cottage movie on Lifetime and was very touched.

I was especially interested in the last painting of your mentor, Glen Wesman (sp?). I've searched Google and the usual online stores for art prints and can't find his work. Do you know of any websites that sell Glen Wesman prints. I'd especially love to get a print of his last work for my very own. It's so beautiful and touching, I can see how he inspired you.
